This is a pretty silly (sort of) example of what I mean by TagSpace. Chris Pirillo has created a 'farted' TagSpace by this exercise. There is nothing much in the space at the moment (and probably / hopefully never will be), but it carved out quite a profile in search pretty quickly
This article is curious. It has identified many of the key future trends – especially the move towards small, digital communities based on topics of niche interest (something I have been calling Ning Things). However, its conclusions are rooted in web1.0 / traditional media thinkling and therefore wrong. So the future for social media doesn't lie in converting it into traditional mass media (higher 'quality' content, more structured and institutionalised mediation etc). Quite the opposite, the future is in more mess, less formal structure, but more connectivity and therefore greater individualised relevance and collective intelligence.
I find this a fascinating concept – owning digital space without having a structural presence within it
This is something that happened to me yesterday that demonstrates what all companies are going to have to find a way of doing
Another handy little tool for Twitter monitoring. Means you don't have to have an RSS reader or use a tool like tweetdeck (still the preserve of social media geeks rather than everyday folk) to stay on top of twitter mentions, only access to email, which we all have.
