  • A useful list – but the thing I found interesting was the clues it gives to the future organisation of the social media landscape. It highlights that there are some core services – e.g. twitter, digg, delicious – and around them are a cloud of service tools that generally are designed to make it easier to access or drive these core functions or link them all up. You could call these parasites (in the nicest posiible sense) and the mroe parasites you support the greater your claim to be a core social media service.
